Celebration for Survival

At First Coast Oncology we understand that treating a patient's physical illness is only part of the battle. The journey through the cancer experience involves many challenges.  After cancer treatments are completed, many patients feel anxious about the future as they move from the identity of a cancer patient to a cancer survivor. First Coast Oncology developed a program, Celebration for Survival, to help patients with this transition and celebrate their major accomplishment of surviving cancer. Patients are invited to participate in this free program focusing on the celebration of life. The following benefits are available to First Coast Oncology patients.

*Upon the completion of the course of treatment, patients will receive a Survivor's Packet with valuable information on survivorship and a congratulatory certificate.* The opportunity to attend free educational luncheons called, A Reason for Celebration. These sessions host local experts who speak on a variety of pertinent topics and the latest advancements on cancer treatment and prevention. *A newsletter called Moving Forward that includes information about volunteer and educational opportunities and social events that occur throughout the year.*The opportunity to participate in peer-to-peer counseling, local cancer events, and speaking engagements that use personal success stories as a way to reach others on the benefits of early cancer detection and prevention.Celebration for Survival is a wonderful way to meet new people that share the common theme of battling and surviving cancer as they face forward to enjoy their future. The more involved that you become, the greater benefits you will receive.
